For some time CPD (or‘CPE – continuing professional education) – has often been viewed by professionals – especially senior people – as a waste of their time. This has resulted in a tick-box exercise with limited impact.
Yet amidst these challenges some remarkable innovations are taking place. Teachers are experimenting with JPD (joint CPD between people, not just individually). And Ci has been tracking these developments and designing new models based on the latest thinking in learning.
During this roundtable call, Dr Michael Moynagh started the discussion by sharing the latest thinking on new approaches to CPD, and the participants then shared what’s working best for them, and emerging ideas for the future.
