Innovation at Work

How do individuals create improvements at work? We’re setting out to uncover some of the best ways that everyday innovation takes place in organisations.

This government-funded (ESRC) research study is being led by the Tomorrow Project in partnership with Ci and The Work Foundation. The aim of the small-scale study is to explore how individuals undertake everyday improvements in the workplace. Do they have the opportunity to make an impact through ideas for improvement in what they do as individuals, or in what their teams or other people do? What are the factors that enable or inhibit such improvements?

The study will proceed by means of an initial, half-day consultation to be held in the autumn of  2011, In addition to exploring whether there are issues involved worth exploring further, the consultation will be an opportunity for an exchange of knowledge and for networking between the participants.
