Learning transfer platforms (LTPs) are increasing the amount of behaviour change back in the workplace. They allow for spaced activities before and after training, at scale. Knowledge can be taught online, leaving valuable time for practice with feedback at live events. Evaluation can be built in as well.
Long before this technology, learning transfer has been the subject of research. Managers are key, and so potentially is a coaching culture. The evidence on coaching is limited but positive, one study even suggests coaching can increase the transfer of learning from 20% to 88% (Olivero, Bane and Kopelman, 1997).
