Innovation at Work
As part of a research study on everyday innovation, led by the Tomorrow Project, we held an invitation-only half day event in London for innovation experts and practitioners. The event was hosted by The Work Foundation.
The event involved around 25 participants – practitioners and academics from a cross-section of sectors and disciplines. Participants were asked to contribute to the first part of the consultation by describing stories or journeys, whether from real life or imaginary, about how innovative ideas have been progressed; for example how they were generated, adopted or developed, and what impact they may have had; or whether there were theoretical concepts for categorising and thinking about such innovation.
We then discussed what can be learned from the exchange; whether there are common factors between the accounts; whether it is possible to categorise the different innovation journeys; and which ideas emerging from the discussion might be worth exploring further.
If you have an innovation story to share, please contact us to express interest in taking part.
