The Career Innovation Zone online career resource was first introduced to Marriott International in May of 2008, across 67 countries worldwide. The modular resource provides interactive ‘coaching’ help for employees to assess their skills, identify goals to assist them in making well informed career decisions, and managing their performance.
After its launch, employee visits to the site doubled and visitor time spent on the site increased to an average of 25 minutes per session, equating to more than 2,100 hours of cost effective development time per year. Now Marriott has been working with other leading employers to shape the next-generation Ci Zone platform, and has added new tools and resources that support their mentoring programmes in hotels around the world.
