In 1998 Jonathan founded the Career Innovation Company, carrying out global research in partnership with top international employers. The goal was to understand and shape the workplaces of the future.
Jonathan has facilitated many innovation events, led international research studies, and his publications include ‘The Conversation Gap’, ‘Manifesto for the New Agile Workplace’ and ‘Riding the Wave – the New Global Career Culture’. These have formed the basis for practical tools, including online career coaching tools that are now widely used.
Today Jonathan acts as a ‘catalyst’, bringing together the ideas and people needed to create innovative solutions. He has worked, consulted, published and spoken widely on the future of work and careers, to audiences ranging from 42 to 42 million (BBC World Service). Alongside his work at Ci, he is leading a new social enterprise that provides professional development for primary healthcare professionals around the world.
He says his work is ‘not rocket science’ – but ‘just in case it is’ he has a degree in aeronautical engineering.
